The Great Blue Heron is a common wading bird throughout the USA. It is super common here where I live in Florida. This juvenile was making all kinds of noises at the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. He kept opening his mouth and ruffling his head feathers. He was a quawky teenager with a mohawk! He was a successful hunter and caught a fish while I watched. This listing is for an original colored pencil drawing. It is on Stonehenge Kraft paper.
