This is an original colored pencil drawing on Frosted Mylar. The surface of the mylar created beautiful saturated color. This is a male Honey Creeper I saw while leading an art tour in Costa Rica. The legs are bright red and the bird is amazing electric blue and black with a bright green tuft on the top of his head. Truly a dazzling bird!

This is an original colored pencil drawing Frosted Mylar. The Golden Hooded Tanager is an impressive bird. The colors are vibrant and ae amazing to see flash in front of you. They are small and quick but easy to see because of their coloration. This drawing was done from my art tours in Costa Rica.

Insect, Nature Art,Butterfly “BLUE HAIR STREAK BUTTERFLY” The Art of Nature, Fine Art by Mindy Lighthipe

This is an original watercolor of a Blue Hairstreak Butterfly. The actual specimen is very small, less than 1/2 an inch. The little "tails" on the bottom wings wiggle when the butterfly is resting. They look like tiny little ribbons, twisting and turning.
