The Bobcat or Lynx rufus is native to the USA. This skull is part of the collection at the Florida Museum of Natural History. The challenge with this drawing was getting the mouth to stay open while I was drawing it. This is on 140 hot press watercolor paper with torn/deckled edges.
The Phoebis philea butterfly is commonly known as the Orange Barred Sulphur. It is found mostly in the tropics but makes its way to Florida where it has 2 broods a year. The painting is done with an underpainting of lavender paint to get form and then the yellow and orange was placed on top of the underpainting.
